More video is coming. At Podcast Movement Evolutions at SXSW, Stacey Goers and Jake Shapiro from Apple Podcasts announced a number of new podcast hosting partners for the upcoming Apple Podcasts HLS video feature. Transistor, Audiomeans, PodBean, Captivate, RSS
.com and Podigee are all soon to support HLS video on Apple Podcasts. The companies join Acast, Omny Studio, ART19 and Simplecast. - Jan 8: Spotify announced a distribution API for video - allowing users to publish and monetise video content on Spotify direct from participating hosting platforms. Acast, Libsyn, Podigee, Audioboom and Omny Studio are the launch partners. Dynamic video sponsorship management will be available through these partners too.
- Sep 17, 2025: Podigee is to add a number of Podcasting 2.0 features from Oct 1. The German podcast hosting company will add creator-led podcast recommendations and locations, and will support instant notifications of new episodes.
- Aug 11, 2025: Podcast host Podigee has achieved v2.2 of the IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines.
- Jun 27, 2025: Ausha has achieved compliance with IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines v2.2. The IAB requires companies to recertify annually to remain in the list; but, outside that timeframe but still listed by the IAB as compliant are Podigee (who haven’t recertified for two years), Libsyn, Audion, Podtrac and Mediastream.
