About Persephonica
Persephonica is an award-winning production company with a track record of creating hugely successful, genre-defining podcasts, and working with the world’s biggest talent. The Sheffield-based outfit created the BBC Sounds podcast Miss Me?, hosted by Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver, the internationally-successful Dua Lipa: At Your Service, the Westminster essential Political Currency with George Osbounre and Ed Balls and the UK’s biggest daily podcast, The News Agents, with Global.
The company recently appointed the former BBC Radio 1 producer, Fiona Hanlon, as Managing Director. Fiona is responsible for growing the company’s impressive entertainment slate. This ambitious new show with Zoe Ball and Jo Whiley is her first signing for Persephonica.

- May 6: Bad Chat with Greg James and Alice Levine is brand new from Persephonica - and already in the charts. It's a club for the pair (and their listeners) to share the 'best-worst' parts of the week; shame spirals, existential crises, petty grievances, mild injustices — and this is just Greg's morning.
- Mar 18: Henrietta Harrison has joined Persephonica as an Executive Producer leading on factual and current affairs. She joins the company from Bauer Media where she created Katherine Ryan’s hit podcast, ‘What’s My Age Again?’. Her previous credits include BBC News and Loftus Media.
- Jan 29: The winners of the Political Podcast Awards were announced in London. The Persephonica show Political Currency, hosted by former UK Chancellor George Osborne and former shadow UK Chancellor Ed Balls, was crowned Podcast of the Year. Last year's winner, The Rest is Politics, wasn't awarded this time round.
- Sep 16, 2025: Lily Allen has “departed” the popular Miss Me?, a podcast she co-hosts with Miquita Oliver, according to the UK newspapers. Except, no, she hasn’t really. The podcast will continue, and Podnews learns that she will return, after she works on “a new project” (we’d presume it’s a new album); and she’ll still pop in on the podcast from time to time. Jordan Stephens is stepping in as co-host in the meantime - he’s been regularly on the show anyway. The show’s made by Persephonica for BBC Sounds.
