- Apr 10: Exclusive: The Podcast Show London has announced Global and iHeartPodcasts as headline partners for the event next month. This year, Global’s presence will place a particular focus on Global Studios.
- Jan 6: In the UK, Global have acquired a majority stake in The Overlap, one of the world's most popular football and sports destinations with more than 38 million monthly views on YouTube. The Overlap was founded by footballer Gary Neville, and recently acquired broadcasting rights for the German Bundesliga. The news comes in a World Cup year, after the launch of Global Studios and Sport by Global last October, and Global's acquisition of The Fellas Studios. No terms were given.
- Oct 22, 2025: In the UK, Global ran its first-ever Audio & Entertainment Upfronts, highlighting the arrival of Global Studios, the launch of a new sports entertainment division, and a new podcast from Emily Maitlis. The company also launched Global:IQ, a data and effectiveness platform to “bring together first-party data, advanced analytics, and AI-driven creative optimisation tools”.
