- Dec 18: Edison Research published its Latino Podcast Listener Report 2024. In the last four years, the number of Latinos who are monthly podcast listeners has increased by 72%. For the first time, Latino podcast listening is 50% women, 50% men.
- Nov 27: Edison Research published the top 25 UK Podcasts for Q3/24. Goalhanger celebrate improvements in placing for all of its four top-25 shows, including The Rest is Politics, which makes it to #2 in the country, behind the US-made Joe Rogan Experience. There are only two shows from the US in the chart. Acast hosts nine shows, Megaphone hosts seven, and the BBC hosts five.
- Nov 21: In the US, YouTube is the service used most often to listen to podcasts, according to Edison Research. 31% of weekly podcast listeners aged 13+ choose YouTube as the service they use most to listen to podcasts; Spotify is at 27%, and Apple Podcasts is at 15%, says the data.
- Nov 15: Edison Research has released a study showing the comparative difference between Trump and Harris appearances on podcasts before the election. Trump spoke to over three times the number of listeners, says the data.
- Nov 14: Edison Research revealed the top 50 podcasts in the US, by total audience, for Q3/2024. Our list includes links to listen; 21 of the top 50 are hosted by Spotify’s Megaphone.
