- Dec 2: Edison Research released the top 25 podcasts in the UK for Q3/25. Wondery’s RedHanded makes it to the top 25 for the first time. Goalhanger have four shows in the list; the BBC have five. Acast and Megaphone both host six shows.
- Nov 28: In the UK, media regulator Ofcom has published its eighth annual report on the BBC. The regulator notes that the BBC has remained trusted by the majority of those in the UK, with 70% of regular BBC television viewers rating it highly for accuracy, and 68% for trust. However, it notes that BBC podcasts don’t appear in the Edison Research top ten for listeners aged 15-34.
- Nov 6: Edison Research looks at the podcast appearances made by the NYC Mayoral candidates. The winner, Zohran Mamdani, appeared on the most podcasts - 31, reaching 12.5mn people.
- Oct 24: Edison Research digs a little deeper into The Charlie Kirk Show’s audience growth, noting that much of the growth occurred after Kirk’s death on Sep 10.
- Oct 20: Edison Research released the Top 50 Podcasts in the US for Q3 2025, from Edison Podcast Metrics. The survey-based data lists all shows and was continuously collected in July, August and September. The Charlie Kirk Show jumped to #17, while The Meidas Touch Podcast also entered the top 20 for the first time.
