- Apr 16: Women’s podcast listenership has tripled in ten years, according to the Women’s Audio Report: Women & Podcasts released by Edison Research and SiriusXM Media. 45% of all women in the US (60mn) are monthly listeners; and 52% consume podcasts in some form (whether listening or watching).
- Apr 4: Edison Research will publish the Women's Audio Report, with SiriusXM Media, in a two-part webinar series in April. The report examines women's audio consumption behaviors, including listener demographics, content preferences, discovery habits, and advertising engagement.
- Mar 21: For the first time, The Infinite Dial from Edison Research has reported that over 50% of Americans are consuming podcasts each month. The research, now in its 27th year, shows that podcasts are consumed by 55% of Americans aged 12+. The study has an enlarged survey size and now asks about “watching” podcasts as well as “listening”. (Podcasts grew whatever question was asked).
- Mar 18: YouTube is currently “the US’s preferred podcast service”, said Edison Research in October. It unveils its latest Infinite Dial study this Thursday in a free webinar, co-presented by Edison’s Megan Lasovick, and Podnews Editor, James Cridland.
