- Oct 20: Edison Research released the Top 50 Podcasts in the US for Q3 2025, from Edison Podcast Metrics. The survey-based data lists all shows and was continuously collected in July, August and September. The Charlie Kirk Show jumped to #17, while The Meidas Touch Podcast also entered the top 20 for the first time.
- Aug 8: Nielsen launched Nielsen Podcast Fusion, a new dataset powered by Edison Research. It integrates Edison Podcast Metrics into Nielsen’s widely used media planning tool, Nielsen Media Impact (NMI). NPR and Ocean Media are among the charter subscribers at launch.
- Aug 4: Edison Podcast Metrics released the top 50 US podcasts for Q2/2025. The top 5 is unchanged. Amy Poehler’s Good Hang is new in the top 50 (it debuted in mid-March). The Dan Bongino Show is the highest faller, now out of the top 50 after Bongino was replaced by Vince Coglianese.
- Jul 14: Edison Research has announced a free webinar for the release of The Podcast Consumer 2025. The study uses data from the Infinite Dial, Share of Ear, and Edison Podcast Metrics. A key focus in the new report is the evolving definition of podcast “consumption,” exploring podcast viewing as well as listening.
- May 22: Also released in London was the Top 25 Podcasts in the UK for Q1/25 from Edison Podcast Metrics. There’s no change in the top three shows (Rogan, TRIP, Diary of a CEO), with Goalhanger having four shows in the top ten.
