- Jul 18: Audioboom apparently paid £10mn ($13.4mn) for Adelicious, suggests Law360. (We covered the purchase yesterday). Meanwhile, Audioboom’s chairman, Michael Tobin, purchased a further £1mn-worth of shares.
- Jul 17: Audioboom has acquired the UK podcast network Adelicious. The combination of the businesses will create the UK’s largest homegrown podcast network with 40mn unique listeners, and more than 125mn monthly downloads and views. Adelicious will continue as a brand.
- Jul 2: A comedy podcast festival is to expand into the US - and to return to London and Melbourne. Cheerful Earful plans 15 days of live podcast shows across the globe, including a new event in New York City.
