Use the right words to get a more popular podcast

  • The language you use can make your podcast more successful - and there’s proof. Use “I, we, you” not “her, him, them”, don’t swear, use positive language and don’t talk slowly - and people will listen to your show more, according to research by Spotify’s Research and Development department. The team published data learnt from transcripts and playback data of over 5,000 English episodes.

  • Are there still problems at Apple Podcasts? While nobody wants to put their name to it, Podnews has had a number of large publishers saying that Apple Podcasts occasionally doesn’t notice new episodes appearing in podcast feeds - and they sometimes can take up to 72 hours to appear.
