  • 56% of heavy podcast listeners think the number of ads in podcasts is increasing; and 38% believe there are already too many, according to the Super Listeners Study from Edison Research, PodcastOne and Ad Results Media. However, listeners felt more positive towards ads than previous years.

  • Pacific Content have published their annual Podcast Predictions for 2021 in a thirty-minute read that encompasses all parts of the podcast industry.

  • Podcasts are 'becoming a Hollywood gold mine’, reports Deadline, saying that the number of podcasts being turned into video is 'well into three figures’. (This, incidentally, is widely held to be the reason for the high valuations of some podcast companies.)
