Almost four out of five people would skip a radio ad in a podcast, with two-thirds saying it was “annoying”. The research from Signal Hill Insights and Pacific Content warns us that “creative and content must be designed for the experience”, and that podcast creative can’t be an afterthought.

London’s Evening Standard reports “Anger from podcasters as (the) British Podcast Awards charges £300 (US$388) to attend”. Tickets last year were just £75 (US $97). Haymarket, who bought the awards last year, point to a bursary scheme that can be applied for, and says the awards event has been moved to a central London venue.
