A new website, RateThisPodcast, has launched: which claims it’s a simple, device-aware, link to read on your podcast that explains how to rate it. Here’s ratethispodcast·com/podnews as an example: it’s free to claim your link.

Castro, “the iPhone podcast player for podcast fanatics”, now allows podcasters to pay to promote their podcasts within the app. A week’s promotion with Castro in all categories costs US$249. A similar method exists with Overcast: from August, here’s how that works.

Here’s how to get your podcast into Majelan, a subscription podcast app from France (which also contains free podcasts). Our request to be added was responded to with a “hey, we read Podnews every day!” which was nice. We’ve updated our list of podcast directories.
