YouTube’s Neal Mohan has been named TIME’s 2025 CEO of the Year.

Last month, Steven Bartlett announced that he’s been running “consistent on-screen fact-checking” for Diary of a CEO since June. A “medical PhD graduate” is “adding real-time notes to episode transcripts” in a way that is said to improve editorial accuracy. The announcement wasn’t serviced to the press. It may be a response to a story from the BBC World Service last year about claims of harmful health information on his show.
- So, what does it look like? A recent show making claims about magnesium and heart disease, has items marked “DOAC Community Notes” that occasionally appear on-screen with additional, or clarifying, information. Additionally, the show has a link on YouTube marked “Independent Research”, among fifteen other links at the bottom. This document contains quotes from the episode with research which appears to source evidence for claims made, including 282 links. At least seven of the references link to papers where the guest was a joint author.
- In the audio version of the same episode, the on-screen fact-checking isn’t visible and the clarifying information isn’t given; and the link to the fact-checking document is not present in the show notes at all.

The worst thing that can happen to your podcast isn’t a bad review... it’s being invisible.Paid content
If your show doesn’t appear when listeners type in your topic on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, it might as well not exist.
The solution is simple: make sure your podcast shows up in search results, right where your audience is looking for new content to listen to.
Ausha’s PSO Control Panel helps you do exactly that: it highlights the keywords listeners are searching for most, gives you AI-powered recommendations to improve your titles and descriptions, and tracks your visibility score as you climb the rankings.
Instead of getting buried under competitors, your show surfaces where new listeners can actually find it.
If you’d like your podcast to be discovered by more than just your mum, it’s worth a look.
