2.5 million podcast episode transcripts

• The Podcast Standards Project has announced that more than 2.5mn podcast episodes now feature creator-supplied transcripts using the open <podcast:transcript> standard. Those Podcasting 2.0 transcripts are visible in apps like Apple Podcasts, Podcast Addict, Fountain and Podcast Guru as well as many others.

  • Doing your own transcripts in the RSS feed means you can add speaker names to your transcripts and correct mis-spellings.

• Inspired by Ashley Carman’s recent article in Bloomberg, The Podglomerate has produced a list of almost the top 1,000 shows from Spotify. The company says it’s great for research, pitching and general navel-gazing.

• Spotify for Podcasters has added team management to its list of features, allowing you to invite other members of your team to manage your podcast.
