Edison Research’s Infinite Dial is coming to the UK, with a webinar on Dec 2 at 2pm with the results. The UK has, until now, been without a direct comparison to the US, Canada and Australia in terms of podcast consumption (and other forms of audio).

Fireside Chat is enabling streaming of your shows to YouTube. Their terms and conditions were quietly updated yesterday, with a new section about the use of the YouTube API “to make it easier for our users to simultaneously casts (sic) streams to YouTube”.

Fireside Chat is also making transcripts of chats - but not publishing them, yet. This chat recording contains code including a full transcript, which doesn’t appear to be visible on the public web page, but which appears in Google search results. As a proof-of-concept, we’ve temporarily put up this tool to pull those transcripts out.

We’ve updated our 100 Most Popular Podcast Names article today, with the latest data. We’ve additionally learnt that 705,000 shows have the word “Podcast” in them; there are 1,719 podcasts called “Real Talk”; and 177 shows called “This RSS Has Been Deleted”.
