Entale, an interactive podcast app, comes out of beta

• Entale, an iOS podcast app, is out of beta. The app “adds pictures, maps, links, quotes and chapters to your favourite shows for a rich, interactive experience.” It launches with a special version of M&S-sponsored I’m Absolutely Fine by The Midult, which Entale are also hosting.

• Chartable, which shows chart history for your podcasts, is now showing charts across all countries (we’re killing it in Sweden!) For a sneak preview, search for your podcast at Podnews and press the button for chart data.

• Westwood One posts on MediaVillage saying Podcasting Delivers a Highly Engaged, Youthful, Diverse Audience. The article highlights US market data points.

• The Sydney Morning Herald covers OzPod 2018, October 17 in Melbourne VIC, Australia. Podnews’s Editor, James Cridland, is one of the first speakers of the day.

• Libsyn has a new status page for its customers, showing whether there are any outages on the service.

• Atlanta GA, USA has a new podcasting studio and community hub called FRQNCY, reports the excellently-titled Hypepotamus website.

• Evo Terra is on The Word From Mouth this week, talking about how podcasting can grow and prosper.

• El Espectador reports that mentions of “podcast” on Twitter have exceeded 24 million so far this year: already 40% more than the whole of 2017.
