Netflix has hired its first Head of Podcasts, N’Jeri Eaton. She had been Head of Content, Apple Podcasts for a year; and prior to that spent four years at NPR.

Kajabi, a service to help sell online courses or memberships, has added a podcast hosting service. The tool allows public or private podcasts: you can charge for them here, too.

Encuestapod has published its Spanish-language podcast research. The data, from 3,063 participants, showed an increase of people listening on computers and smart-speakers, perhaps a result of the pandemic’s at-home instructions.

Lemonada Media has launched BEING Studios, an “audio reality” podcast unit. Reality television expert Kasey Barrett (The Real World, Kardashians, Born This Way) has been named Executive Producer.

Welder, a remote recording tool much like Riverside or Squadcast, has launched a free podcast transcript tool.

The Paris Podcast Festival will take place in October, but their podcast competition is now open for entries until July 21. There are a number of categories for people who live in France, and one category if you’re outside France but still make a show in French. Bonne chance!
