  • A list of podcast app user-agents is quite difficult to find - at least for free - so we’ve made one. Our listing contains details of many of the different types of device that might download your podcast, and regex patterns for developers. Feedback welcome. Stay awake at the back there.

  • Ear Hustle returns on March 14th. A preview of the new series is available now. (We’re linking you to our subscribe page, which contains the latest episode to play and links to subscribe in a number of apps. It had a face-lift this morning with app icons.)

  • Audiocraft, a podcast festival in Sydney NSW, Australia, have announced their speakers (and tickets are now on sale). The event is June 1-3.

Jul 30 2023: This broken link now points to the Internet Archive.
  • Marc Maron is moving house: and his garage, where he records WTF, is about to move with him. The NYT has taken some photos and profiled the comedian.

  • Another community podcast is planned, this time with assistance from Michigan Radio, for the MorningSide neighborhood of Detroit. They have funding from the James L Knight Foundation.

  • Pants on Fire is a nice idea for a podcast for kids, to help them work out who is telling the truth and who is just fake news. It’s part of a set of new podcasts from Gen-Z Media.

  • Forbes has a piece about Jaime Jay, entitled Want To Make A Living As a Podcaster? This Entrepreneur Is Pulling It Off. 55% of his revenue comes from podcasting, as a producer and host. He hosts Stop Riding The Pine.

  • The CBC are proud of their new podcast Personal Best - it’s a self-improvement podcast, turning ordinary people’s small goals into grand adventures. Here’s an episode helping you be (a little) less awkward with strangers. Not you, obviously. Your friend.

  • AdLarge and cabana have added Parents On Demand, the podcast network for parents and families, to their offerings.

  • Job: Supervising Producer, ABC (in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane). “This is an exciting opportunity for a Producer to supervise the development, production and delivery of high quality podcast content for ABC Audio Studios in collaboration with internal and external parties.”
