Podcast app user-agents

Wondering what devices and apps are downloading your podcasts? We’ve gone through all the useragents downloading ours: and here’s what we have discovered. We’ve added a regex expression here for developers, and would welcome additions and amendments to updates@podnews.net

Given here are example full useragent strings (with personal identifiers removed). Our aim is to identify what device is downloading our podcasts; we haven’t cared about capturing operating systems or version numbers.

We’d like your help with this: so we’ve put this data into this Airtable. This page uses that Airtable to keep updated. Want write access? Sign up to Airtable (it’s free) - and then drop us an email to updates@podnews.net with your Airtable account email address and some background of who you are.

> We’ve also analysed bitrate and LUFS values for some of the top podcasts.
