Magellan AI released its Podcast advertising benchmarks for Q1/26. Podcast ad spend increased 28% year-on-year, and it also reports that ad load decreased from 8.79% in Q4 to 8.24% in Q1. It’s a free download.

Another day, another video streaming service has announced it’s to show podcasts. In this case, it’s 9Now and Stan, the streaming platforms owned by Nine Entertainment in Australia - which is to stream a new radio show from ARN with Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire. The new show will also be broadcast on Australian radio - and, we would assume, be available as a podcast as well.

The Deutsche Podcast Awards took place in Berlin last week. A specialist jury decided on 22 categories, while the public voted on two. There were more than 2,000 entries. The Podcast of the Year was The Peter Thiel Story from Deutschlandradio.

DAX US has made it easier for political advertisers to buy audio, announcing a new integration with Basis. DAX has access to more than 100 million US listeners; political advertisers can now reach them with an exclusive partnership through the DSP in Basis.
