Audacy get the Office Ladies
- Ashley Carman’s scoop almost a month ago was correct - Office Ladies has moved from SiriusXM to Audacy in a deal which also covers The Lazy Genius Podcast. Terms weren’t given; the show launched in Oct 2019, and is a top 25 podcast in the US.

As we mentioned on Jan 11, Overcast released a new, rewritten, version of the popular podcast app. Developer Marco Arment says it’ll be easier to add new features and iterate faster. The latest episode of the Accidental Tech Podcast dives into the detail. He also adds: “Try to get used to it for like a few days before you yell at me too much, please.” (We like it).

Triton Digital released the Australian Podcast Ranker for June. Total downloads are down 6.2% month-on-month, and there were 16% fewer episodes published. There were 13% fewer weekdays in the month, though, thanks to the way calendars work.
- The ABC claims more shows in the top 200 than anyone else, while LiSTNR is the #1 sales network and iHeart is the #1 podcast publisher by listeners. The ranker measures participating publishers only.
- Meanwhile, in Q2 2024, Australian broadcast radio revenue increased by just 0.1%, while Australian digital audio revenue increased by 27.1%. However, digital audio revenue is just 12% the size of broadcast.
