4,600 AI voices to choose from

• AI audio platform Adthos has added a number of new voices to its tool. There are now 4,600 voices available in the platform’s library, in 200 languages.

• Podfollow links redirect users based on their device - so iOS users can be sent to Apple Podcasts or Android users to Spotify or a mobile landing page. They’re often used as a way to link to shows on social media. Podfollow has now added YouTube as a destination; you’ll want to claim your show for free and add your YouTube playlist. See ours here.

• Comedian and podcaster Marcus Brigstocke has been announced as host of the British Podcast Awards. The event is on Sep 26 in London; tickets are now available.

In Canada, Curiouscast’s hit true crime podcast Crime Beat has surpassed 1 million downloads/listens over the span of 30 days. Researched and hosted by crime reporter Nancy Hixt, each episode takes listeners on a bone-chilling journey through some of Canada’s most high-profile criminal cases. The podcast premiered its sixth season in February of this year.
