The average cost-per-thousand for podcast ads in 2023 was $22.58, says Libsyn’s AdvertiseCast. That represents a 6% drop year-on-year - a “relatively small decrease which demonstrates the resiliency of the podcast advertising ecosystem.“ - December’s average, $22.91, was up month-on-month.

Audioboom paid over $50mn to podcast creators in 2023, according to the company’s look back at the year. The company achieved 1.5bn downloads.
