Kerry Washington Expands Street You Grew Up On Into a Weekly Podcast With Daylight
Kerry Washington is expanding her acclaimed interview series Street You Grew Up On into a weekly, full-length audio and video podcast in partnership with Daylight, marking a new chapter for the series created by Washington and her production company, Simpson Street.
The expanded format gives Washington more room to follow the memories, relationships and stories that emerge from the show’s deceptively simple question: What street did you grow up on?
Each episode invites a guest to revisit the people, places and experiences that shaped them long before the world knew their name, exploring how childhood, family, community and belonging continue to influence who we become.
The official trailer is available now, with the season premiering Wednesday, September 30. New episodes will be released every Wednesday. Audio will be available on all podcast platforms, with full video on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.
Originally launched as a digital series during the pandemic, Street You Grew Up On has grown into an award-winning franchise with past guests including Michelle Obama, Jane Fonda, Queen Latifah, John Legend, Issa Rae, Jay Shetty and more.
Guests this season include Ben Affleck, Dwayne Johnson, Demi Lovato, Colin Kaepernick, Chelsea Handler, and more.
