Riverside Launches Riverside Agents, the First AI Production Team Built for Video

Riverside, the AI-powered end-to-end content creation platform used by Spotify, NBC and the New York Times, today launched Riverside Agents: the first team of AI agents built specifically for video production. The agents take on the production work around a recording, from prepping the session to publishing the clips, and move it forward on their own. Riverside Agents are available today on web and mobile across all Riverside plans.

Video has become the default format for podcasters, creators and marketers, and the appetite for content has grown faster than anyone’s time to make it. Solo creators and small teams have been running an entire studio’s workload alone: prep, editing, clipping and distribution. Riverside Agents give every one of them a production team, so a one-person operation can run a show that looks and performs like it came out of a professional studio.

The launch marks a shift in how creators work with AI. Until now, AI tools have waited for instructions: the creator prompts, checks the result, and moves the work to the next step themselves. Riverside Agents take on a task, make the calls along the way and pass the work on, while the creator directs the show.

Meet the team

Each agent is a specialist in one stage of production:

• Producer preps the session and runs the studio: interview questions, talking points, scenes, layouts and branding, all ready to shape before recording starts.
• Editor turns a full-length recording into a finished episode. It proposes the editorial calls, like where to tighten the conversation and which moment makes the hook, and takes direction on what stays. Then it brings the edit to life with layouts, B-roll and motion graphics, and polishes the audio, captions and branding.
• Clipper finds the moments worth sharing and turns each one into a finished clip that’s ready to post.
• Marketer gets every clip live in the right places. It writes the post copy, creates thumbnails and plans where each clip should run, then posts or schedules it across social channels once approved.

Together, they work as one crew, with the creator in the director’s chair.
