Podcast 360 from The Podcast Academy launches season 2
Today, The Podcast Academy and DCP Entertainment announced Season 2 of their joint venture podcast series Podcast 360 launching August 20.
This season, Podcast 360 delves into the heart of podcasting by focusing on the true essence of the medium: the hosts. These familiar voices share their unique journeys and the craft of creating and promoting their shows. Building on last year’s format, each episode features a guest who returns the following week as the host, interviewing a new industry peer. This format creates a dynamic chain of insights, perspectives, and knowledge-sharing that keeps the conversation a fresh and ever-evolving exploration of the craft.
“We are thrilled to continue this collaboration with The Podcast Academy” said DCP Entertainment CEO Chris Colbert, “This format not only highlights the diversity of voices within the industry but also fosters a deeper understanding of the creative process. Each episode is a testament to the power of storytelling and the uniquely creative voices that make podcasting so engaging.” Podcast 360 is available on all podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Pocket Casts, with new episodes every Tuesday.
Arielle Nissenblatt kicks off season 2 of Podcast 360 as the host of episode #1 and then she turns the microphone over to hosts including Toya Coleman (That Wasn’t In My Textbook), Sequoia Holmes (Black People Love Paramore), Justin Richmond (Broken Record), Paddy Hirsch (The Indicator from Planet Money; Evolving Money; The Outthinking Investor), Molly Wood (Everybody in the Pool, It’s a Thing, WorkLab by Microsoft, Futureverse), and Tom Merritt (Daily Tech News Show, It’s a Thing, Sword and Laser, Cordkillers, A Word, Know a Little More). Additional guests/hosts and episode guide to be announced.
Additionally, TPA is now accepting entries into the 2025 Awards for Excellence in Audio (The Ambies®) with the exciting addition of a new Spanish Language category, further expanding the scope of the awards to 28 categories. “Adding a Spanish category acknowledges the significant contributions of Spanish-speaking creators to the podcasting landscape,” said Christina Mirabal, Chairperson of TPA. “We are excited to recognize excellence in Spanish Language – with this being one of the fastest growing segments of the industry, these creators deserve recognition.”
Now through September 16, entrants will pay a discounted fee for submission ($150 per submission for members and $200 for nonmembers). Shows entered after this date will pay the standard fees ($200 per submission for members and $250 nonmembers) and entries will be accepted through November 22. The 2025 Ambies will take place on March 31, 2025 in Chicago, celebrating nominees in 28 categories including the newly added Best Spanish Language Narrative Podcast.
