Today, Wondery announced Nick Cannon @ Night, a reimagining of the traditional late night talk show format, hosted by multi-hyphenate entertainer Nick Cannon. In the weekly video series, Nick opens up his DMs, creating his own version of the old school relationship advice call-in show, and responds to listeners’ most intimate love, sex, relationships, and dating questions. Topical experts and celebrity guests join him for each episode, which is taped in front of a live audience in Los Angeles. Nick Cannon @ Night debuts on July 23 across YouTube, Wondery+, and everywhere you get your podcasts, with new episodes dropping weekly.
When it comes to his personal life, Nick has never shied away, unapologetically leaving the world curious about his views on dating, fatherhood, and modern relationships. So, who better to offer advice? While he draws on his own personal experiences, late night talk shows are known for their guests, and Nick Cannon @ Night is taking it to another level and adapting the new social media culture by including viewers and audience engagement. Each episode, Nick taps one of his recurring subject matter experts, having them offer advice as they respond to listener questions via Nick’s personal DMs. Confirmed experts this season include Dr. Laura Berman (relationship expert), Dr. Viviana Coles (relationship and intimacy expert), Dr. Mike Dow (brain health, mental illness, relationship, addiction, and nutrition expert), Dr. Jamye Waxman (sex therapist and sex educator), and Dr. Kerry-Anne Perkins (medical expert; obstetrician and gynecologist).
Nick’s celebrity friends also join the fun for some wild and raw conversations. Guests like Melyssa Ford, Raven Symoné, Bobbi Althoff, Hannah Stocking, Rosa Acosta, Flame Monroe, Natalie Friedman, Courtney Bee, and Sarah Fontenot, all make an appearance, with more to come.
The series also features recurring segments that engage the live audience and fans back at home. Examples of segments listeners can expect include man on the street-style interviews where Nick asks the public their opinions on debatable relationship questions, and Anonymous @ Night, where Nick and his celebrity and expert guests respond to viewers’ anonymous sex and relationship questions. Nick Cannon @ Night marks the second collaboration with Nick Cannon and Wondery, as the series debut comes on the heels of the We Playin’ Spades season three premiere, another popular video podcast hosted by Nick and comedian and actress Courtney Bee, where the duo bring celebrity guests to the spades table for laughs, conversation, and no-holds-barred competition.
