iVoox launches one-time purchase podcasts, expanding monetization opportunities for podcasters

Press Release · Barcelona, Spain · via iVoox ·

iVoox, the leading Spanish-language podcast platform, today announced the launch of one-time purchase podcasts, a new monetization option that allows creators to publish special content which listeners can buy with a single payment and listen to forever. The initiative expands income opportunities for podcasters and reinforces the company’s commitment to further professionalizing the Spanish-language podcast ecosystem.

One-time purchase podcasts allow creators to develop audio projects beyond their regular programming, with more complete and specialized content. This model also opens the door to new formats, such as courses, special series, and audio fiction, while offering listeners a simple way to access exclusive content, listen to it as many times as they want, and directly support the work of their favorite creators.

iVoox has already tested this model with several creators, receiving a positive response from audiences and confirming interest in this type of content. Among the first launches are El Horror de Dunwich, from the podcast Noviembre Nocturno, and Serie Versus Vol. 1, from Casus Belli — two projects that show the potential of one-time purchases to develop specialized content, both for established podcasts and for creators, production companies, or projects looking for new ways to monetize their content.

A new model to diversify podcasters’ income

One-time purchase podcasts expand the monetization options available on iVoox and allow creators to combine different sources of income. This means a podcaster can continue monetizing their main show while also developing special one-time purchase content aimed at their most loyal community.

With this launch, iVoox expands its monetization ecosystem with a new option that complements Fan Subscriptions, which allow creators to generate income through direct audience support; AdVoices, designed to help creators secure sponsorships and advertising campaigns with brands; the affiliate program, through which creators can earn income by recommending platform services; iVoox Originals, which offers support in distribution, visibility, and monetization; and the partner program, with improved advertising and affiliate conditions.

“Our goal has always been to provide creators with tools that allow them to turn their passion into a sustainable project. With the launch of one-time purchase podcasts, we are taking another step in that commitment and offering an especially interesting alternative for those working with finite content or projects, or for those who prefer to offer their audience a flexible one-off access option without requiring a recurring subscription,” says Juan Ignacio Solera, founder of iVoox.

Overall, iVoox’s different monetization initiatives have already generated more than €8.5 million in income for creators. With one-time purchase podcasts, iVoox takes another step in its strategy to diversify podcasters’ sources of income and reinforce the professionalization of the sector.
