iVoox announces the finalists for the 2025 Awards with a gala dedicated to independent podcasting
The leading Spanish-language podcast platform iVoox will celebrate the 2025 iVoox Awards Gala on December 3 at 7:00 p.m., live at premios.ivoox.com. The event will recognize the year’s most outstanding creators in a record-breaking eighth edition featuring more than 1,500 participating podcasts and over 80,000 listeners who cast more than 300,000 votes.
Hosted by actresses and podcasters Esti Gabilondo and Bárbara Goenaga, the gala will become a true celebration of Spanish-language podcasting and will present the awards across 17 categories, featuring renowned finalists such as Nadie Sabe Nada, the comedy podcast by Andreu Buenafuente and Berto Romero; La Ruina, where Tomàs Fuentes and Ignasi Taltavull judge the audience’s worst anecdotes; La Base, the political analysis show by Pablo Iglesias; Carne Cruda, the countercultural podcast by Javier Gallego; Criminopatía, the popular true crime podcast by Clara Tiscar; and Planeta Oculto, where Mar Gómez explores the great mysteries of the universe.
The creators of ¿Te quedas a leer? and Señoras con Visón will host a gala full of surprises and emotions, in which iVoox will pay tribute to independent podcasting — a symbol of the creative freedom and diversity of voices that define the medium. In addition, as a major new feature, the event will be held at the BCN Media Hub studio in Barcelona, in a hybrid format that will combine the participation of both in-person and online winners.
Backed by the community itself, the iVoox Awards have established themselves as the industry’s leading recognition by giving a voice to listeners, who directly choose the winners in 14 categories covering genres as diverse as history, science, humor, mystery, and current affairs. In addition, a professional jury, made up of experts from the audio and media industry, will grant three special awards: Best Branded Podcast, Best Breakthrough Podcast, and Podcast of the Year.

Among the nominees for Best Branded Podcast are entries such as La Bala Mágica (Repsol and Summer Story), an audio fiction that blends mystery and humor; La Sublime Condición Humana (Reale Seguros and El Extraordinario), which explores how culture can help us face today’s major challenges; and Clásicos con Altura (Editorial Alma and Ekos Media), which rediscovers world literature from a contemporary perspective.
Meanwhile, among the nominees for Best Breakthrough Podcast are productions such as Vivir y morir en Gaza (RTVE Play and Yes We Cast), where Almudena Ariza and Raúl Incertis narrate the humanitarian tragedy in the Gaza Strip firsthand; Miss Crímenes, in which Carmen Basteiro reviews the greatest cases in history; and El Siglo de las Sombras, where Iván Patxi and Jaime Martín reflect on the role of human nature in the digital age. For Best Podcast of the Year, the award is chosen from the fourteen podcasts most voted for by the audience, which this year have stood out for their quality, connection with listeners, and ability to drive the growth of the Spanish-language podcast format.
