Hit Podcast Giggly Squad Extends Exclusive Partnership with Acast
Acast, the world’s largest independent podcast company, today announces a renewed exclusive, multi-year advertising partnership with the widely popular podcast Giggly Squad hosted by the comedic duo Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo, who have cultivated a dedicated and highly engaged fanbase known as “Gigglers.” The renewal builds upon the successful relationship that began when Giggly Squad launched with Acast in 2020.
The partnership will see Acast maintain exclusive global sales rights for the Giggly Squad audio podcast and its popular YouTube simulcast. In addition, Acast will continue to offer brands opportunities to extend their reach across Giggly Squad’s social media platforms - with a combined reach of over five million people - as well as their newsletter and live tours.
“Hannah and Paige and the incredible Giggly Squad community of Gigglers are such an important part of our creator network” says Tiffany Ashitey, managing director for the US at Acast. “Since its inception in 2020, Giggly Squad has consistently resonated with audiences and advertisers alike through its infectious humor and relatable conversations. It’s a partnership we’re fiercely proud of as we continue to amplify their reach and connect them with even more advertising partners across their audio and video presence.”
Since launching in 2020 with Acast, the show has become a staple in the comedy podcast landscape and in high demand with advertisers. The success of the partnership is evident in innovative campaigns like the recent collaboration with Unilever’s TRESemme for their Lamellar gloss product. This first-to-market execution spanned audio and social channels and featured a special bonus episode where Paige and Hannah hosted a unique “1-800-gloss” hotline, allowing their dedicated listeners to submit questions and receive direct responses from the hosts.
“Acast have been thoughtful, skilled and connected partners since day one,” say Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo. “From providing us with the support and tools to connect with our audiences and grow Giggly Squad into what it is today, to allowing us to turn our passion into a paying career, it just works. We’re looking forward to many more years of giggling together with Acast.”
In addition to their successful podcast, Hannah and Paige recently published their first book, How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously, via Simon and Schuster, which debuted at #2 on the New York Times Best Seller list. They have most recently launched a new YouTube video series, Hannah & Paige Try New Things.
Berner is represented by WME, Entertainment 360, HJTH and The Lede Company. DeSorbo is represented by WME, Allora Talent, HJTH, and LUNA.
