Sex.Life

A podcast from ZM Podcast Network

Sex.Life is a podcast that will take you on a wild journey to expose what goes on behind the locked gates of a secret sex school in rural New Zealand.   Join somatic sexologist Morgan Penn as she puts her body on the line and shares the jaw dropping experience with ZM’s Hayley Sproull. New episodes are out every Hump Day (Wednesday). Each episode is a new day at sex school which reveals unorthodox exercises and interactions which provides a springboard for a discussion about sex and embracing sexuality.   Listeners are encouraged to not be passive in this listening experience but to participate with homeplay (homework) that Morgan has set. It links back to a topic they have discussed in that episode with the aim that everyone can expand their sexual selves. Hayley reports back in the following episode how her Homeplay went. This podcast may use tracking and attribution and dynamic content insertion

Stats: Statistics are produced by Spotify to help Sex.Life to understand how many downloads it is getting, or how many people are listening. Your device’s IP address and user agent is used to help calculate this figure.

Tracking and attribution: Spotify or its partners may connect the fact you listened to this podcast to an action elsewhere on the internet. For example - it may spot a device that downloaded an episode of Sex.Life later visited the website of an advertiser; or it may track that a device that listened to Sex.Life also listened to a different show. This form of attribution is used to measure advertising effectiveness.

Dynamic content insertion: Spotify may use limited data that they know about you - the device you’re using, the approximate location you’re in, or other data that can be derived from this, like the current weather forecast for your area - to change parts of the audio. Sex.Life may do this for advertising or for other forms of content, like news stories.

This is hosted by Spotify: this may mean that Spotify require you to log in to listen, and from that, they will know considerably more about you, including your email address and potentially a connection with your Facebook account and data.

Sex.Life is able to use the above tools since its podcast host or measurement company offers this service. It doesn’t mean that this individual podcast uses them, or has access to this functionality. We use open data.

Information for podcasters

Get a universal link

https://podnews.net/podcast/iai02/listen is a so-called universal link: it will automatically open Google Podcasts on Android phones, Apple Podcasts on iOS devices, or this page. Both Apple Podcasts and the Google Podcasts player are pre-installed on every phone.

A QR code to this URL is a great way to share your podcast. You’ll find a QR code at the top of this page on desktop. It’s particularly ideal for business cards, posters or conventions.

But - you are always better to fully control your own podcast and not rely on any third-party - even us. So, here’s the code to add a universal link to your own website. Copy/paste this HTML into a new file on your website, and link to that instead.
