John and Amanda have lived on the fringes their whole lives. They’re on welfare, living with John’s grandma, and struggling with addiction to opioids and Dungeons and Dragons. They’ve followed crooked paths to this point. John played in heavy metal bands and dabbled with Satanism. Amanda left home and discovered heroin before her 18th birthday. The couple converts to Islam in an attempt to turn their lives around. But things take a wild turn when a mysterious figure enters their lives and draws them into a web of conspiracy, deception and terror.
In this five-part series, host Dan Pierce will take listeners deep undercover into a sprawling anti-terror investigation, drawing on more than a hundred hours of police surveillance tape and intimate interviews with John and Amanda. Pressure Cooker is a rare glimpse inside the minds of two accused as they recount a story of love, faith and betrayal in the War on Terror.

This podcast may use tracking and attribution and dynamic content insertion
Stats: Statistics are produced by Chartable to help Pressure Cooker to understand how many downloads it is getting, or how many people are listening. Your device’s IP address and user agent is used to help calculate this figure. Triton Digital and Chartable are IAB v2 certified.
Tracking and attribution: Triton Digital and Chartable or their partners may connect the fact you listened to this podcast to an action elsewhere on the internet. For example - they may spot a device that downloaded an episode of Pressure Cooker later visited the website of an advertiser; or they may track that a device that listened to Pressure Cooker also listened to a different show. This form of attribution is used to measure advertising effectiveness.
Dynamic content insertion: Triton Digital may use limited data that they know about you - the device you’re using, the approximate location you’re in, or other data that can be derived from this, like the current weather forecast for your area - to change parts of the audio. Pressure Cooker may do this for advertising or for other forms of content, like news stories.
Pressure Cooker is able to use the above tools since its podcast host or measurement company offers this service. It doesn’t mean that this individual podcast uses them, or has access to this functionality. We use open data.
