And it's officially a month away from the best time of the year--HOT GIRL FALL IS UPON US! But truly, without teeny Tom Riddle AKA Milo Sparks in a tiny track suit with a wee teacup, this episode would never have survived. He gave us the 'goof troop factor' we have been craving! Despite some disappointments, this weeks stars are clearly Monet and Luna who are the chicest and wittiest of the entire Constance crew. We mostly walk away with questions: namely will there be a season 2, are pasta tours a thing and can Luna give us makeovers a la Cluess? We remain hopeful that the theatrics of this weeks episode are setting up a full on opera level of insanity for next weeks ep. And moving into the this weeks reboot ep, we find ourselves fully immersed in high drama, high fashions and the highest bidder as we come together for the schools fundraiser. It's also parent teacher conferences and the teachers are totally bugging because of their elite student's parental units invading their space. We also can say with complete confidence that Kate Basket Keller sounds slightly like Sean Connery--we have no regrets, we said what we said. We meet Audrey's mom Kiki played by the I C O N I C Laura Benanti, as things between Audrey and Aki leave us with LOTS of questions. Meanwhile Max Wolfe of Wall Street is crushing on the hot teacher and will forever be the Chuck Bass of this reboot. And all of the hype surrounding NOBLE O? WE AREN'T BUYING WHAT YOU'RE SELLING OBIE...well we might, but we aren't sure yet! Will the Basket be able to keep up with the social pressures being the one true voice of GG? Shook us to our cores. We show up for the for the coolest, chicest and most exclusive group of friends and we stay for all of the throwbacks to the original GG. Honestly we CANNOT WAIT for the next ep and to see our favorite and sexiest city shine like the Big Apple star that she is--NYC is essentially her own character and we love getting to bask in her beauty. And as Dan stoops to conquer, little J is doing her best to make it work with chaotic Agnes, which only could end one way--utter destruction and devastation. Meanwhile in the land of the Upper East Side, it's B's 18th birthday! HBD B! but TBH we weren't feeling her party, and she truly deserves more. Luckily the script writers made all of our Clueless dreams come true by introducing MR. HALL as Eleanor's new boyfriend! And while B is super underwhelmed, we are quite literally overjoyed by this Wallace Shawn sighting. But amidst all this juicy drama, we are forced once again to return to the land of sorcery and riddles by Rumples/Aaron and we have had enough. S spends most of the episode trying to leave every scene she's in and then accepts an offer from Rumples to go to a puppet show in the park. Chuck also challenges Lord Marcus to a game of squash which is beyond our sports game comprehension, but any story line that has Mr. Bass scheming in the name of winning Blair's affection is one we are obvs interested in. This ep not only has one of the MOST ICONIC LINES OF THE ENTIRE SERIES, but it is packed with stunning B. Waldorf ensembles-- unfortunately that beauty is nearly overshadowed by the ill-fitting linen suit of it all from nearly every guy in this freaking cast. So put on your fav floral ensemble, grab your favorite iced latte and lets pretend we are live, laugh and loving our way through The Hamptons at the underproduced Vitamin Water White Party-- who will stop by for a cameo? As was the way with the entire defining first season, this ep is a messy montage of Serena leaving Dan, Chuck being chuck and B being the baddest B on the Upper East Side. Also it's Lily's wedding day and things are truly chaotic, yet through this chaos we are graced with the juiciest pay back of Georgina at the hands of Blair and we agree that revenge is truly so so sweet. Not only are forced to see some harrowing floral fashion choices at Lily's wedding, but we are subjected to an affront on our senses by Serenas accessories and subjected to the back and forth nonsense with Dan. And as all good things must come to an end, this GG sends us off with a vague cliffhanger, shots of bridges and a sensible XOXO--and we truly love to see it. XOXO H & T

GOSSIP GIRL|| SEASON 1, EP. 17 || Georgina Sparks is pure evil S1 E17

Not to worry--we start off with the sensible chat we know and love: we give skin care recs, THE RETURN OF SATC, Bridgerton news (no one is surprised) and all of our upcoming TV excitement. Luckily in this ep Rufus finally gets his moment in the sun, sharing moments with LISA FREAKING LOEB YALL.--not to mention sharing several moments with Lily--and we LOVE to see it. And yet the rest of the episode is filled with cringe worthy moments (except for Nate looking hotter by the minute): Serena is in a bad state and possibly murdered someone, it's Lily's rehearsal dinner?? and Dan blows off his dad for 'SARAH'. Despite Georgina and her nonsense, the entire crew bands together in the name of Serena and more importantly their hatred for Georgina--watch out G, this Scooby Doo adjacent band of rich misfits are as loyal as they come and are heading to the borrow of Brooklyn to bring you down. S is in so far over her head with the insanity of Georgina's antics that we are truly shaken to our cores with her admittance of something so terrible that the cliff hanger of this episode is NEXT LEVEL. We additionally chat all things quarantine NYE, Downton Abbey (because why not y'all) and to no one's surprise, somehow draw comparisons between this episode and several brilliant Disney characters. Most notably, the shock and awe we have regarding the mention of a former RHONY cast member can be felt from coast to coast--only comparably to how horrified we are when Georgie's manipulative master plan to blackmail S takes yet another harrowing turn. Also to be clear--this is a Duke of Hastings stan pod. In this GG ep, Little J wanders aimlessly looking for 'A King' and meets a dog walker that she brutally rebuffs only to realize he's LOADED--we have questions, namely what is even happening here and why do we care? We discuss our standardized testing study styles, how Rufus just wants to eat comfort food with his kids, and how Blair needs to leave Nelly alone. Most harrowing is how Georgina and her schemes that bring the new Serena back to her life and the parties of yore. XOXO H & T

I mean we honestly can in no way relate, but like the utter northeastern-ness of it all is something we love to see--a sensible Ralph Lauren dream that we want to never wake up from. TBH this ep starts off too high and sets the bar at a level that makes it impossible or the rest of this weeks story line to live up to. And that's all thanks to the iconic musical stylings of the one, the only, the incomparable: THE DUCHESS, FERGIE. The Constance girls acapella cover of GLAMOROUS is arguably one of the single best moments of the entire series. So perfect that it almost makes us forget the terrible floppy hat that S. wears at the end this ep---ALMOST, but not quite. XOXO H & T
