Op 18 mei 2014 overleed Wubbo Ockels. De eerste Nederlander in de ruimte, onderzoeker en een man barstensvol ideeën om de wereld een stukje mooier te maken. Een dag voor zijn dood hield hij een ontroerende speech. ‘We moeten zuinig zijn op onze planeet. Als je dezelfde houding en spirit hebt als een astronaut ga je van de aarde houden zoals anderen niet kunnen. En als je echt van iets houdt, wil je het nooit meer kwijtraken…’
In 2018 en 2019 staat de theatershow ‘Save the Earth’ -geïnspireerd op deze speech- in het hele land.
In deze podcastserie spreekt journalist Lenny Tamerus met hoofdrolspelers rondom de theatershow 'Save the Earth’, zoals Jorgen Rayman en Joos Ockels. Daarnaast aandacht voor duurzame initiatieven die in de show genoemd worden. Dat levert mooie verhalen op en goede ideeen, met zoals Joos Ockels het zegt: een dosis happy energy!
