YAP Media is hiring a Senior Marketing & Audience Development Specialist who can take day-to-day marketing operations tasks off the plate of our CEO and Founder, Hala Taha. In this role, you will assist with Marketing Projects, Podcast Growth Programs, Content Writing, and Company Communications.
Founded in July 2020, YAP Media has quickly grown to 50 team members around the world. Our client roster features billionaires, celebrities, and business influencers in the media space. To support this lightning-fast growth, we need a fast, creative, and scrappy Marketing Specialist to work closely with Hala.
This is a hands-on, execution focused role. You will own end-to-end, multi-channel audience growth for assigned podcasts — planning, launching, and optimizing campaigns across publicity, cross-promotion, newsletters, web, social, and paid media. You’ll operate with high autonomy in a quickly changing industry, serve as the client-facing owner for your shows, and report on KPIs that ladder up to both short- and long-term growth. Success in this role will be determined by your industriousness, commitment to excellence, and desire to take on new challenges.

Responsibilities
- Content Writing. Write scripts for the CEO’s solo episodes and webinar presentations. Prepare content for the CEO’s webinars, e-courses, speaking engagements, etc.
- Marketing Comms. Draft marketing communications on behalf of the CEO such as industry newsletters, internal client communications, etc.
- Podcast Growth Programs. Plan, launch, and optimize publicity, cross-promo, newsletter, and new growth initiatives for Young and Profiting Podcast. Partner with leadership to pilot new growth services and internal playbooks. Rollout successful initiatives to other podcasters in our network.
- Growth Campaigns. Own client-facing growth campaigns end-to-end; manage deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder updates.
- KPI Reporting. Report on KPIs (downloads, CTR, CAC/LTV proxies, conversion) and translate insights into next actions.
- Usage of Podcast Tools & Software. Use and continuously level-up in core tools in the podcast, publicity, and marketing space - specifically Megaphone, Simplecast, Omny, Chartable, - Muckrack, Swap.fm, Magellan, Podchaser, Spotify Analytics, Apple Podcasts Connect, Bumper’s Dashboard, and more.
- Presentation Preparation. Help the CEO create and prepare for presentations through creative thinking, fact and stat finding, research, outline planning, slide creation, etc. Create briefs for meetings and put together decks for client pitches.
- Meeting Support. Attend client calls with the CEO, document follow ups, and send meeting notes to participants, disseminate information and next steps to team members when decisions are made.
- Team Leadership. Mentor and coordinate junior teammates/contractors; delegate work and provide constructive feedback.
Results
- Take over Hala’s Presentations. Produce top-notch presentations that can be used by the CEO with little or no edits in 30 days.
- Produce High-Quality Content. Write podcast, webinar and course content that requires little or no editing in 30 days.
- Manage In-Person Studio. Handles booking in-person podcast appearances and tasks related to building a new in-person studio in the first 15 days.
- Manage Company Comms. Produce high quality email communications to clients and sponsors as needed, with zero error.
- Own KPIs. Be accountable for outcomes such as audience growth, acquisition efficiency, engagement/retention, etc.
Requirements
- 6+ years work experience in content writing, digital marketing, or other related fields, with at least 2+ years spent in a client-facing role in the podcast industry.
- Proven track record running audience growth or lifecycle campaigns with defined KPIs — ideally in podcasts, audio, or media.
- Analytical & Experimental. Fluent in funnels, attribution basics, and test design; converts data into decisions.
- Platform Fluency. Comfortable with podcast platform tools (Spotify for Podcasters, Apple Podcasts Connect), analytics (Chartable/Bumper), and PM stacks (Notion, Sheets, Airtable, or similar). Ready to reach full proficiency within 90 days.
- Leadership & Collaboration. Experience mentoring contributors/contractors and driving cross-functional outcomes.
- Writing & Creative Judgment. Crisp copy, on-brand positioning, and feedback that improves work quality. Skilled in writing compelling scripts for podcasts and webinars, as well as creating engaging blog posts, newsletters, and presentation materials that align with the CEO’s voice and audience needs
- Organization & Pace. Excellent time management across multiple shows; bias to clarity and documentation. Natural ability to efficiently plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and tasks.

- Meticulous Attention to Detail: Maintains a high standard of accuracy in all work. Can confidently follow complex instructions and workflows with minimal oversight or errors.
