Salary range: $55.00 to $65.00 (hourly rate) - subject to experience

Wondery is seeking a Social Media Manager for an existing weekly chat show. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a data-driven mindset, capable of balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. As a Social Media Manager, you will be the social media extension of one of our top podcasts, shaping its brand voice and growing its audience across platforms. Compensation and Structure
This is a part-time independent contractor position with an estimated hourly commitment of 15-20 hours per week. We’re looking for someone to start ASAP. Estimated compensation for this position ranges from $55-$65/hr. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, skillset, and location. This role will be a contract position within a 3rd-party Production Team managing production and post-production for Wondery.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Wondery's social media growth strategy for a show-specific handle
- Drive always-on social media campaigns that deliver measurable results aligned with key business objectives
- Produce innovative, best-in-class branded social content
- Write post copy that follows brand guidelines
- Lead owned and earned community management efforts
- Stay at the forefront of social media trends, continuously adapting our approach to maximize engagement
- Analyze and report on social channel performance, providing actionable insights to optimize campaigns
- Work closely with Wondery social team to ensure alignment and compliance
- Community development and management
- Brainstorm innovative social media concepts that resonate with our diverse listener base
- Produce and distribute engaging social content across multiple channels
- Analyze campaign performance and iterating on strategies to continually improve results
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in social media marketing, with a focus on organic social execution
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social media campaigns
