Freelance Producer (Seattle, WA)

Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Wonder Media Network .
Salary: $80.00 (hourly rate) plus $150 for gear rental (if necessary)
About the Role We’re looking for an Audio Producer to support host Shin Yu Pai on Ten Thousand Things, a show that centers on Asian American stories. You’ll work closely with the host in Seattle and our team in NYC to support production. As the Seattle-based producer, you’ll conduct field recordings, help shape interviews, and provide host coaching during recording sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the host, editor, and producers to develop and refine episode ideas
- Conduct pre-interviews and help craft strong interview questions
- Conduct field recordings and in-person interviews
- Produce the host in recording sessions and provide host coaching
Who You Are
- Based in Seattle, Washington
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in audio production
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Field recording equipment competency
- Able to work on a fast-paced timeline and adhere to deadlines
- A creative and collaborative thinker who enjoys bouncing ideas around with a team
- Kind, curious, and an excellent listener with sensitivity to Asian American culture and stories.
- Highly organized and responsive
- Owning recording equipment preferred
