THE ROLE We’re looking for an analytically minded, performance-driven Senior Manager, Podcast Partnerships to join the team at Valenz. This role is ideal for someone with deep, hands-on experience in podcast media buying and creator partnerships — and a drive to lead and scale high-impact podcast and YouTube advertising campaigns.
This role is essential to our mission of helping clients unlock growth through podcast and YouTube advertising. You’ll lead campaign strategy and execution, managing a portfolio of brands through data-informed planning. That includes curating top-performing shows and creators, cultivating long-term partnerships, and delivering insights that translate into meaningful, measurable performance gains.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record of driving results through podcast advertising. You have a strong ownership mindset and a bias toward action — combining systems thinking with creative problem-solving. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage a roster of brand client accounts, serving as the lead media buyer responsible for campaign planning, execution, and performance
- Drive the media buying strategy — planning, booking, and optimizing campaigns across direct and network podcast partners with a focus on acquisition, testing, and scale.
- Own performance reporting and attribution, producing weekly and monthly reports that translate raw data into strategic recommendations and actionable next steps.
- Create structure and clarity — from forecasting and pacing to developing proposals and growth plans — ensuring we’re always proactive and anticipating our clients’ needs.
- Proactively identify and act on growth opportunities, using data to inform testing strategies, creator mix, budget allocation, and performance pivots.
- Negotiate and manage strategic podcast partnerships, leveraging your instincts and insights to drive the most value for our clients.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with ad ops, data analysts, and platform partners to ensure every campaign is cohesive, aligned, and built to perform.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance oversight, holding campaigns to key KPI targets while quickly addressing underperformance.
- Stay plugged into industry shifts and opportunities, keeping Valenz at the forefront of the audio and creator economy.
- Shape our podcast partnerships philosophy, with the potential to lead broader initiatives or team efforts as you grow your accounts.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5+ years of experience in podcast and/or YouTube media buying, with a proven track record of driving direct response results.
- Obsessed with performance data — you love dashboards, attribution windows, pivot tables, and building narratives from numbers.
- Highly organized and accountable, with strong instincts for forecasting, budget discipline, and campaign health.
- Clear and confident communicator, skilled at translating performance data into client-ready insights that build trust and drive results.
- Thoughtful partnership management, whether you’re negotiating rates or collaborating with podcast partners and client teams.
- Experienced in building or improving reporting frameworks, attribution workflows, and data-driven testing strategies that unlock campaign growth.
- Ability to jump into an existing program, identify inefficiencies, and build the structure needed to scale.
- Confident using Google Sheets and Excel for campaign management, analysis, and reporting; experience with tools like Podscribe is a plus.
- A self-starter with an ownership mindset, proactive in solving problems and driving results with minimal oversight.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, and are comfortable managing multiple clients and campaigns at once.
