Producer - New Major Women's Sports Show
A part time position at Treat Media, Los Angeles CA, USA
Producer | New Major Women’s Sports Show Part-Time | In-Person & Remote (Los Angeles) | Start Date: ASAP
A bold new women’s sports podcast is launching, hosted by Abby Wambach and Julie Foudy - two icons of women’s sports and forever teammates on and off the field. As former captains of the U.S. Women’s National Team and National Soccer Hall of Fame inductees, Abby and Julie will host the ultimate party championing the joy, power, and community of women’s sports. The show will also regularly feature Billie Jean King, THE OG Legend of all legends, as a frequent contributor offering her singular perspective and voice.
The show will release two episodes per week and cover everything from soccer to WNBA, rugby, hockey, volleyball, new leagues, established leagues, and more. It will blend highlights, athlete interviews, cultural commentary, technical analysis, watch-alongs, and behind-the-scenes storytelling - all delivered in a voice that’s smart, fun, celebratory, and deeply connected to the movement around women’s sports.
We’re looking for an experienced Producer who’s passionate about women’s sports, lives and breathes this space, and knows how to shape fast-moving, culturally relevant content across video, audio, and social. You’ll work directly with Abby in LA, Julie (remotely), and their internal team to build out the show week to week, ensuring it remains as electric and essential as the athletes and moments it covers.

- Liaise with Apple/Spotify/ etc. to ensure placement features and marketing
- Submit to podcast awards annually
Manage cross-functional team communication:
- Act as liaison between hosts, post-production, and social media leads. Own the flow of notes, assets, approvals, and deadlines
- Ensure a smooth, on-time operation across every part of the production pipeline. Be the go-to person for keeping the train running and solving problems before they arise
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience producing high-profile podcasts
- Strong experience producing video podcasts - including multi-cam remote, in-person, and live shoots
- Deep knowledge of the women’s sports world to ensure every episode is informed, relevant, and connected to the larger sports/cultural landscape.
- Proven ability to manage tight turnaround timelines - this is a fast-moving, topical weekly show that requires quick decision-making, efficient workflows, and calm under pressure.
- Experience working directly with on-air talent, shaping conversations and creating a comfortable, confident production environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
- A deep understanding of how to produce dynamic content that speaks to the cultural moment
This Role Is For Someone Who:
- Thrives in both creative and logistical roles - equally comfortable shaping the story and managing the schedule
- Is proactive, fast-moving, and can stay cool under pressure
