The Podcast Show is a truly international podcast festival with the largest gathering of the podcasting community, set bang in the heart of London’s buzzing media district.
With over 10,000 day and evening attendees from 40 international countries and more than 450 speakers, the show features pop up stages, networking bars, special guest appearances, featured zones, live shows, showcases, exhibitors and a full in person conference programme in all of our theater spaces.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Exhibition & Sponsorship Sales Executive, focused on selling exhibitor floor space and sponsorship, to support our Sales and Partnerships Director in a hugely popular and creative industry.
The Role
In this role you will provide sales support to our Sales and Partnerships Director. You will be responsible for:
- Selling exhibitor floor space and branding opportunities to target
- Seeking headline and title sponsorship opportunities
- Generating and developing new business leads across all facets of the Podcast industry from audio, broadcast, tech, brands, media and more
- Creating new partnership opportunities
- Creating your own targeted database and expanding existing databases
- Building sales newsletter campaigns
- Pitching The Podcast Show 2024 to prospective clients
- Support the Sales & Partnerships Director with the management of the floor plan alongside the Operations Team
- Building long-term relationships with clients and understanding their business and marketing needs
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, and the rest of the show team.
- Keeping up to date on industry developments and identifying and researching new clients.
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience in sales at exhibitions, conferences and trade shows (some media sales experience is useful but not essential)
- Past experience on delivering successful sales revenue
- Experience in working with sales databases
- Strategic approach to generating leads and creative approach to maximizing revenue
- A clear understanding of the broadcast, audio and media sector
- Experience in presenting & sales pitches
- Ability to sell to senior level prospects
- Confident in ability to sell to new and existing clients
- Accurately report progress through weekly sales reports
- Self motivated and a strong team player
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Research skills
- An understanding or passion for podcasts (not essential)
- Ability to vet/be selective and source appropriate new exhibitors that fit with the brand values of the event
