Podcast Assistant
A part time position
Fully remote: working with a UK-based team at The Podcast Agency.
Salary range: £12.00 to £15.00 (hourly rate) - subject to experience
Podcast Agency Assistant
Main Areas of Responsibility:
Reporting to: CEO
Liaising With: Director of Operations, Clients, Social Media Manager.
- Drafting Blogs around the topic of podcasting - Repurposing from other content - my books and podcasts. Including sourcing/creating images, SEO and Alt Tags.
- Responsible for compiling and sending weekly newsletter email with relevant content links and image.
- Responding to enquiries and questions in The Podcast Community Facebook Group.
- Creating draft social media posts around the new podcast industry updates.
- Suggestions on new trainings we can create based on industry insights and community feedback.
- Assist CEO on podcast strategy calls with clients and be responsible for liaising with the team from concept to launch.
- Assisting during launch by tracking podcast chart successes and liaising with clients.
- Streamlining podcast guest booking/diary management for CEO for two shows.

- Research and awareness of into new updates, technologies and systems in the podcast and audio industry, and keeping CEO informed.
- Testing and trialling new industry systems for our own podcasts.
- Suggesting potential partnership/sponsorship/affiliation ideas based on research.

Rates, Hours & Expectations

You may be expected to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description.

Training will be provided with our systems, tools and processes.

This is a freelancer/contractor role and is not an offer of employment. You will be responsible for your own tax and national insurance and keeping your own records.

Initially the role will be for 5 hours a week, but this may increase.

Hourly rate will be £12-£15 an hour based on experience, to be discussed at interview.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Training
- A good interest and experience in podcasting would be an advantage.
- Experience supporting personal brand businesses would be an advantage.
Experience & Knowledge
- Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively with our team, clients and suppliers.
- Knowledge of the following:
- Essential
- Wordpress
- Yoast SEO
- FB Group Community best practices
- Basic knowledge of podcasting industry
