A full time position
Fully remote: working with a UK-based team at The Maybe.
Salary range: £75,000 to £120,000 (yearly rate) - subject to experience
Background
The Computer Says Maybe podcast is seeking a Podcast Showrunner for a 3-month trial engagement beginning February 1, with the potential for extension based on mutual fit and organizational needs. The anticipated time commitment is ~30–40 hours per week.
Computer Says Maybe is a podcast about the politics of technology. We aim to stay ahead of emerging technology and policy issues, and take a progressive, anti-oligarchy stance. We are especially interested in amplifying the work of leaders who are driving toward more just and equitable futures.
The Showrunner will step into an established production workflow for a weekly podcast, stewarding day-to-day operations to ensure high-quality, consistent output. In parallel, they will help lay the groundwork for more streamlined processes, a strong content strategy, and long-term brand growth. Working closely with the host and podcast team, the Showrunner will manage ongoing production while shaping strategy, strengthening guest and network relationships, and collaborating with the team on the podcast’s longer-term vision.
This role is well suited to someone who brings strong strategic thinking, creative vision, and hands-on production experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, is excited to shape high-impact content, and is motivated to elevate the podcast’s profile through thoughtful partnerships and community engagement.
While the engagement is focused on the areas outlined above, the specific scope of work may be refined to align with the selected contractor’s skills, experience, and areas of expertise, allowing them to contribute where they can have the greatest impact.
