A project or contract position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at The ACT3 Agency.

Salary: $75.00 (hourly rate)

We're seeking an experienced podcast Producer/Writer who has worked within marginalized communities to create one episode for a fascinating, 8-part docu-narrative podcast about Wall Street during the turn of the 20th century.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with a team to produce 30-40 minute podcast episodes. We have most of the research and a 3-act outline for your episode. Your job is to bring it to life by finding experts to interview, then finishing/editing the script and providing voice-over if/when necessary. You will have an engineer/audio editor to work with. Additional research may be required.

This episode deals with how people of color tried to establish a place at the table in the money-fueled world of 18th and 19th-century Wall Street. It deals with the prejudice, bigotry, and ultimately triumph of two particular characters during this period. That said, if your additional research uncovers other characters that better exemplify this part of Wall Street history, we're here to support you in that direction.

Please be a team player, open to exploring the best ideas, and willing to dig a little deeper to find something cooler.

The flat rate for this position is $1,500 for the episode. You'll receive $500 upfront and the balance when the episode airs in early July.

Please begin your cover letter with "Yo JT" so we know you've read this description in its entirety. Thanks for your consideration!
