Producer
A full time position at Somethin' Else / Sony Music Entertainment, London, UK
Somethin’ Else are looking for an experienced and driven audio and radio producer to work across projects including Gardeners Question Time, The Kitchen Cabinet and our podcast projects. Part of the Sony Music global podcast division, we are based in London, with another office in Brighton. This role, initially on a 12 month contract will involve travel across the UK.
Your day to day will see you:
· Producing programmes for Radio 4. · Recording shows at locations around the length and breadth of the UK. · Working closely with the Executive Producer to ensure delivery is to a high standard. · Looking for ways to elevate the listening experience for audiences. · Building strong relationships with Presenters and Contributors. · Providing editorial guidance and feedback to Presenters, Producers, Assistant producers and contributors. · Researching and scripting content for both shows to a high standard whilst. ensuring it’s compliant with media law in the UK and BBC Guidelines.
What we’re looking for from you:
· Passion for hobbies and pastimes, including gardening and/or food · Exceptionally well organised. · Confident working with experienced broadcast talent. · Impeccable editorial judgement. · An in-depth understanding of up-to-date BBC Guidelines and processes. · Excellent writing skills. · Strong technical skills. · Understanding of end-to-end production from camera setups to social cut downs. · Experience using audio and video editing software. · Previous BBC experience (desirable but not essential).
