Data Analyst

Fully remote: working with a Canada-based team at Signal Hill Insights.
Salary range: $48.00 to $68.00 (hourly rate) - subject to experience
Compensation: CAD $48 - $68 / hour, depending on experience.
About the role We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented data analyst with data science chops to support our survey-based research studies. Working within the DisplayR analysis and reporting platform you’ll analyze raw quantitative survey data in order to generate banners and data tables, along with charts and visualizations for PowerPoint and dashboards. You’ll also perform meta-analyses, benchmarking data across studies, identifying trends and optimizations.

You'll be working with a North America (Canada and US) based team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ingest SPSS datafiles into Displayr
- Process and weight data according to research plans
- Generate banners and data tables
- Analyze quantitative data tables
- Code qualitative data
- Create charts and visualizations for PowerPoint presentations
- Create and populate dashboards
- Perform meta-analyses across studies, benchmarking and identifying trends and optimizations
Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing quantitative survey data
- Demonstrated proficiency with one or more of: SPSS, DisplayR, Q, R
- First-rate Excel skills, along with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative and collegial, able to work well with others in a fast-moving team environment
- Able to consistently self-manage workloads and meet deadlines
Pluses:
- Podcast, radio or digital audio industry experience
- Experience with consumer survey research
- Data science skills with programming in R or Python
