Production Partnerships Lead
A full time position at Realm, New York NY, USA
Salary range: $125,000 to $165,000 (yearly rate) - subject to experience plus bonus, full benefits, and equity
Realm, an industry-leading studio and global podcast network, is seeking a Production Partnerships Lead. This role is responsible for outbound pitching of prospective partners, fielding inbound queries, and shaping the business, production, and strategy considerations behind each production. Once projects are secured, this role is responsible for coordinating with the Director of Production Operations and setting new shows up for success with handoffs to the Studio, Network, and Strategy/Audience Development teams.
The Production Partnerships Lead is a key executive within the organization, reporting to the CEO and residing within the executive leadership group. The ideal candidate is a seasoned podcast professional who has spearheaded key business partnerships and managed profitability of audio and video productions. We’re looking for a team player with great communication and interpersonal skills who can lead and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time role ideally based in the NYC area.
Primary responsibilities:
- Secure new production partnerships that may also include distribution, monetization, marketing and strategy alongside physical production.
- Manage pipeline of prospective business with executive team to hit revenue targets.
- Develop and propose partnership structure & business terms in collaboration with executive team and legal counsel.
- Act as main point of contact for partners until Studio and/or Network handoff occurs. Remain in the background after handoff to ensure continued success.
- Collaborate with Studio leadership to ensure productions are set up for success, with solid budgets, reasonable profit margin expectations, and appropriate production resources allocated.
Qualifications:
- Proven communicator and entrepreneurial team player who thrives in a nimble and lean startup
- 6-8 years experience in a fast-paced production and business leadership environment, preferably in audio; film/tv experience also welcome
- Flexible, Creative, Organized and Effective
- Great sense of humor
- Excellent management and organizational skills; adept at multitasking and balancing deadlines
