Lead Generation Specialist (Setter) - Podcast Growth Services

The Role We're hiring a Lead Generation Specialist to support our Sales Team by prospecting for our multiple offers and setting up consultations for the sellers. You'll be responsible for prospecting and nurturing leads to schedule a consultation. *This is not a client-facing role, and this role will not be hosting the consultations.

Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Proactively identify and qualify leads through multiple channels, including:
- LinkedIn search, outreach and engagement
- Podcast directories (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.)
- Podcast guest sourcing platforms
- Prospecting tools (Apollo.io, Sales Navigator, etc.)
- Email outreach
- Incoming leads from company website, email marketing, PR
- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
- Develop targeted outreach messaging and cadences
- Reporting & Metrics
- Meet or exceed weekly outreach & consultation goals
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM
- Provide regular updates on pipeline health and forecast
- Track and report on lead source performance and conversion rates
What Success Looks Like First ~30 Days:
- Complete onboarding and product training
- Learn both the automated and manual outreach processes at PYP
- Begin prospecting and booking calls
- Begin tracking activity against goals in CRM
First ~90 Days:
- Book a minimum of 15-20 sales calls per month for the Sales Team
- Begin reporting on progress and best practices
- Develop a predictable outbound prospecting system
- Ongoing:
- Maintain a healthy pipeline (3x monthly call goals)
- Continuously refine prospecting and closing
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of social selling/prospecting experience with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding quota
- Comfortable reaching out to and engaging with CEOs, CMOs, and other company leaders
- You're energized by prospecting and building your own pipeline
- Consultative prospecting approach - you look at prospect podcasts and business information, ask great questions and position solutions
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours/week on the role
- Able to attend 1-2 Business Development Team meetings per week
- Able to attend 1 monthly company-wide meeting
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- CRM proficiency - experience with HubSpot or similar platforms
- Comfort with technology - able to quickly learn and leverage sales tools
Preferred Qualifications (Big Pluses!)
- Agency experience - you're comfortable talking about services, not just products
- Podcast industry knowledge - you understand the podcasting landscape and ecosystem
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and outbound prospecting tools

Compensation This role is structured as a 1099 Independent Contractor position with a phased 90-day ramp-up designed to support training, skill development, and increasing ownership of pipeline generation. Compensation increases as responsibilities, output, and performance expectations increase.
Phase 1: Onboarding & Training Ramp (Weeks 1–6) The initial phase focuses on learning Produce Your Podcast’s services, ideal client profiles, prospecting strategies, qualification standards, and sales tools while beginning active outreach and call booking.
Compensation includes:
- Monthly base retainer: $750–$1,000 (based on experience and agreed scope)
- Performance incentive: $50 per qualified, completed consultation booked
Phase 2: Pipeline Development & Consistent Booking (Weeks 7–12) As proficiency and confidence increase, the contractor will take on greater responsibility for independent prospecting, nurturing leads, and consistently booking qualified consultations.
Compensation includes:
- Monthly base retainer: $1,000–$1,250
- Performance incentive: $75 per qualified, completed consultation booked
Phase 3: Full Pipeline Ownership (Ongoing) In this phase, the contractor operates with full ownership of outbound prospecting and consultation booking, contributing directly to sales pipeline health and revenue generation.
Compensation includes:
- Monthly base retainer: $1,000–$1,250
- Performance incentive: $100 per qualified, completed consultation booked
- Monthly performance bonuses for exceeding consultation and pipeline targets. Bonuses are designed to reward consistency, quality, and pipeline health.
Additional Compensation Details
- Qualified consultations must meet defined criteria, including ideal client profile, decision-maker attendance, and completed call.
- Incentives and bonuses are paid only on completed, attended consultations. No-shows, unqualified meetings, or incomplete CRM records are not eligible for incentives or bonuses.
- Compensation is reviewed at key milestones and may be adjusted based on performance, scope, and business needs.
Final compensation terms will be outlined in the Independent Contractor Agreement.
