Production and Social Media Assistant
A full time Social Media Manager position at Prison Radio Association, London, UK
Salary: £29,400 (yearly rate)
An extremely rare opportunity to become the first Production and Social Media Assistant on National Prison Radio’s award-winning podcast, Life After Prison.
We’re the charity that developed and runs National Prison Radio, the world’s first national radio station for people in prison.
National Prison Radio aims to support people through their prison sentences, and prepare them for life after release.
Life After Prison is our flagship podcast channel for people leaving prison.
This year we picked up a Gold Award at the radio industry’s prestigious ARIAS. We also won Silver for Production Company of the Year at the recent Audio Production Awards, and we’ve been named Charity of the Year at the Third Sector Awards.
We’re looking for a Production and Social Media Assistant with personal experience of prison. This could be through your own experience or the experience of a loved-one. The successful candidate will become a key part of the team working on this ground-breaking project.
You will draw on your own unique experiences to provide support across production, research and on our social media channels. Your contribution will add a new dimension to this life changing podcast.
The person who fills this role will be committed to supporting people in prison and after release. They will be a great communicator, hardworking, driven and eager to learn.
Life After Prison is a fast paced, high-quality production, operating across various different channels. Our aim is to inspire our audience to take positive action as a result of engaging with our content. Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills, IT proficiency and a keen understanding of the various social media channels and how people use them. Some experience in production and/or social media content creation would be beneficial, but is not essential.
Ours is an organisation unlike any other, and we want to hear from candidates who, along with the required professional experience, have direct experience of the criminal justice system.
We’re a driven, tight-knit team working in what can be a challenging, exhilarating world, and you will be motivated by the knowledge that your work has the potential to make a real difference.
