Social Media Manager / Podcast Promoter
A full time Social Media Manager position at Podmasters, London, UK
Salary range: £30,000 to £35,000 (yearly rate) - subject to experience
Location: Islington, London (On-site) Closing date for applications: January 31, 2026
About Podmasters We’re one of the UK’s leading podcast production companies. We make shows like Oh God, What Now?, The Bunker, Origin Story, and Talk '90s To Me.
We have our own studios in Islington (N1) where things move fast. It’s a busy, friendly office and no two days are the same. You might bump into a politician, a pop star, or a Premier League manager in the kitchen before lunch.
We’re growing quickly and we need someone who can tell the world what we’re up to.
The Role This job is about one thing: getting more people to listen to our podcasts.
We have a busy posting schedule that needs a dedicated pair of hands. But beyond just running our accounts, we want someone who is obsessed with finding new audiences.
Whether that’s through clever social posts, talking to listeners in the comments, arranging trailer swaps with other shows, or getting our hosts onto other podcasts – if it gets people listening to us, watching us, or talking about us, we’ll be happy.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the social schedule: Taking the social media workload off our producers’ plates.
- Building community: Talking to our listeners and keeping the conversation going.
- Spreading the word: Proactively finding ways to get our shows featured elsewhere.
- Helping our clients and hosts: Making sure our presenters and clients have everything they need to promote their shows on their own channels.
- Who we’re looking for
- We hire for common sense, personality and aptitude over a long list of qualifications. Most of our team didn’t come from a podcasting background, and you don’t have to be either.
You need to be:
- A confident writer: This is the most important bit. You need to write clearly, confidently and match our tone.
- A self-starter: You see a problem and you want to fix it. You won’t be twiddling your thumbs asking for work – there’ll be plenty of basics to do and then endless opportunities to expand.
- Organised: We have a lot of shows and a lot of moving parts. You’ll need to keep track of it all.
- Thorough and have attention to detail: We don’t micromanage, but that does mean we need to trust you to check and double check work.
- Nice to have (but not deal-breakers):
- Some experience in journalism (this is a big plus, we like ex-journos) or social media management.
- Design skills – don’t have to be a pro but knowing your way around Canva would help.
- Good taste in music (ok, maybe this is a deal-breaker, we have a shared office playlist to think about).
What we offer
- £30,000–£35,000 salary.
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Christmas office closure.
- A fully stocked kitchen (snacks, coffee, tea).
