A full time Marketing Manager position
Fully remote: working with a UK-based team at Podcast Discovery.

Salary: £35,000 (yearly rate) plus Health and Dental Insurance

Podcast Discovery is a full-service podcast marketing agency that works with companies including Sky News, The Economist, Crooked Media, Podimo, BAFTA, All3Media and more to create campaigns that help podcasts grow.

Our team works on social and video, podcast outreach, public relations, paid-for advertising, platform integrations and a variety of other tactics to help our clients meet their podcast objectives.

We’re also responsible for Podcast Rex – our editorial product that includes a website, selection of newsletters, a number of social channels and a podcast that help listeners find their next favourite show.

We’re creating a new full time role to support our communication efforts – A PR and Outreach Executive.

Even though podcasting has been around for 20 years, it’s still rapidly evolving as listeners discover the medium. Creating structured marketing campaigns is new to many shows and historically there have been few companies that can provide help and support. At Podcast Discovery we’ve built a team with expertise in both marketing and podcasting to provide an excellent service to our clients.

Responsibilities

Your main aim will be to help get our clients’ podcasts featured on print, web, TV, radio and other podcasts.

You will:

Experience and Skills We’re looking for a UK-based person with a history of getting their clients’ work featured in other media.

You don’t need to be a podcast expert, but you should be a fan of the medium. You should understand how to work with talent and on editorial projects.

We’re keen that you can demonstrate you’ve built your own relationships with bookers, journalists or reviewers.

This isn’t an entry-level role, we want you to hit the ground running, so you will need the right experience that will help you demonstrate your ability to achieve the job’s aim.

You should be a great communicator and people person, able to think creatively to meet our clients’ objectives, have an excellent attention to detail and be able to manage your time and projects effectively.

Working at Podcast Discovery

Podcast Discovery is predominantly a remote organisation, with team members in London, Cambridge, Gloucestershire and Leeds.

We have team days all together twice a month, usually in London. In addition there will be some meetings and events that we would expect you to attend in person.

We are a start-up, just over a year old, but our founders have a long history in podcasting having set-up production companies and created the British Podcast Awards.

There are many opportunities to help define the company, the products we offer and the ways we work. We are a transparent organisation with all of the team having visibility over how the business is developing.

This role will be supported by a partner at Podcast Discovery and you will work alongside a Project Manager and the Podcast Outreach Lead.
