Nova Media

Audio Editor / Producer

Posted 55 weeks ago

A project or contract position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Nova Media.

Salary: $20.00 (hourly rate)

NOVA is a global podcast production company with a few dozen clients and projects of varying sizes and scopes.

We're currently in need of an experienced, detail oriented audio engineer for an immediate start (i.e. Monday 6th May would be ideal).

We have around 10-20 hours of weekly work ready for someone to immediately take on, so we're looking for someone with the experience and availability to be able to jump in.

Tasks include:

The right candidate will, for example, be able to deliver files with stated integrated loudness levels, true peak levels, etc., as well as having super clean edits, all while being able to handle the workload in a fast and efficient way.

Your chosen software and processes aren't important to us, only the end product.

The role is on a contractor basis, at $25 USD / hour, and we are truly a global team, working out of Oregon, U.K, Asia, Spain, Canada, & Brazil.

Also, our plan for the right person is for them to ascend to the currently open role of Head of Audio, leading a team of editors and having a hand in all audio innovations throughout the company, including onboarding and design of new projects, etc. -- If you're not this person, that's ok too; we still need audio contractors.

Another big piece of this is personality -- we're very aware that lots of companies think that they think differently but we think differently to this different thinking that's not as different as it thinks. We're all human at NOVA (aside from the bots), and we like to keep it that way.
