A part time Sales Representative position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Multitude.
Multitude is hiring a commission-based salesperson to lead sponsorship sales for our portfolio of twenty podcasts. Please reach out if you can help us make smart matches between values-led brands and the incredible audiences we serve.
Role Description This salesperson will:
- Research potential sponsors and obtain contact information for buyers or their media agencies
- Pitch sponsors via email and follow up in a systematic way, tracking responses in a shared spreadsheet or CMS
- Meet (remotely) with potential sponsors to discuss pitches and close deals
- Update and supplement existing pitch materials, including an overall rate card, general sponsorship pitch deck, and individual one-pagers for each client podcast
- Draft Insertion Orders or sponsorship agreements
- Collaborate with Multitude colleagues, hosts, and external partners
- Commit to never use generative AI tools for their work with Multitude, in line with our company AI policy This role reports to CEO Amanda McLoughlin.
Qualifications Candidates must have:
- Experience pitching companies, organizations, and small businesses on paid sponsorships or partnerships
- Familiarity with podcast ad analytics and terminology, influencer and affiliate marketing, and digital newsletters
- Comfort using cloud-based data management systems (we use AirTable, but experience with any similar product is just fine)
- Working knowledge of podcast analytics platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify for Creators, YouTube Studio)
- Strong communication skills, both with coworkers and potential partners
- Time zone overlap with working hours EDT (9am-5pm) for at least two hours per week. Candidates are welcome from any country and time zone Candidates may optionally also:
- Have sold sponsorships for your own show, website, or project
- Love educational podcasts, worker-owned cooperatives, digital communities, or values-led businesses
- Enjoy educating other creators and professionals on sponsorship sales
- Excel at visual design, helping us update and beautify our pitch materials
- Be a strong writer with a knack for conveying each show's unique value to potential partners
Compensation This role will earn a 10% commission on gross revenue from sponsorship deals they source, pitch, and close, with no upper limit.
